[MCPE-143083] Can't join friend's server because error

I can't join my friends server. Friend is playing on Nintendo Switch, while I am playing on Mobile iPhone. See the attached image for the error i am getting. it says I am unable to connect to my server. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing has worked.
