All villagers, cats, dogs, horses, bees, all living things have disappeared. Along with armor stands, armor on them some chests and my bed have disappeared. Saturday we got a resource pack update. It started after that. It is not all at once, it is random over time. Minecarts also. It is only at my main base, doesn't seem to be widespread all over the world.

I had this problem in a previous beta. What I found is that anything you put in an ender chest stays safe no matter how badly your world gets corrupted in the beta. Try and make a habit of keeping all your precious stuff in an ender chest and take your armour off at end of each session, and tools and weapons and store them in there before you log out. That way if you lose everything else at least you keep your essentials.
