Sometimes pressing Ride button attacks the horse

When you press the ride button to get on your horse, sometimes you'll accidentally attack it. This happens mostly when holding items. However, I wasn't holding any swords or tools. The horse I was testing this with has already been tamed. This may also happen when trying to tame a horse by pressing the ride button.
