Tridents disappearing/clipping through the void.

I was in an ocean throwing tridents at drowned. I threw the trident and my game crashed for no reason and I logged back in and it disappeared. I tried testing this in another testing world and when I logged out of the game and logged back in, it disappeared. I tried lowering my render distance and I left the place and I came back and it disappeared. And now I can't use my trident or the tridents in my trident killers.
