Basically, Bonus Chests won't spawn if you have Caves and Cliffs enabled. I have tried to have Bonus Chests on but it doesn't work if you have the Caves and Cliffs experimental feature enabled too

I've seen this, but the chest does spawn. The problem is that the chest spawns far underground. For world seed: -1018213328 (C&C Experimental on, v. 1.17.40)
Spawn point: -96, 94, 32
Bonus chest location: -93, 36, 35; 58 levels below spawn. Wooden tools contained within not very useful by the time it is found.
