1. Create a new world, and enable Caves & Cliffs experiments toggle.
2. Enable Bonus Chest option.
3. Create the world.
---> ❌ The bonus chest doesn't appear on the surface.

I am having the same issue with world spawn -1890628709. Spawn moves from 104, 66, 6 in regular mode to -32, 64, -32 in caves and cliffs mode. In regular mode, the bonus chest is at the spawn spot. In caves and cliffs I found the chest at -28, -18, -27. I play on Android with Beta 1.17.0.58
[media][media][media]@Tulejanov Almaz Ahatson, thanks for reporting this bug, because I couldn't find my bonus chest until I checked bugs.mojang.com. My first thought is the bonus chest was not created which was a past problem.

Chest is still spawning ay Y= 32 or below, it does not spawn on world surface next to player in any 1.17 version, including the 1.17.40 put out today. This is on PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5 versions of the game.
My 1.17.40 experimental world created on android 11 just after that version was released, is also seeing this.
what's very odd is that it spawned entirely surrounded by deepslate at y=-52! no torches were present.
By sheer luck, I found a chest 2-3 blocks into a wall dig. it had a variety of items consistent with with a bonus chest.
Unfortunately, I didn't realise what it was at the time, i thought it was a random spawning chest. I had turned on the experimental options on world gen including spawn variation of 5, custom biomes, and bonus chest.
i spawned halfway up a steep mountain (Y=83). i realise now that there was no bonus chest around. no torches either. I was keen to explore and promptly forgot about the missing chest.
A few play hours later, found this chest deep underground.
the purple beacon is the chest at -260,-53,-280
the white beacon is last spawn at - 259,83,-286
