every time i try to join a server, it loads for ages, then displays one of two messages, "could not connect: outdated client", which i know is not true, because i just updated my game less than 5 minutes ago, or "connection timed out. unable to connect to world." i have a relatively fast internet connection so i dont think it can actually be that. can somone help me with this?
i unfurtunately cannot provide screenshots, as i am unsure as to how to take one

Is this still an issue in the latest version? If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).

Please provide steps to re-produce this as well as include the Observed and Expected results for this problem.
Make sure that your Minecraft is updated, you check on Microsoft App Store if there are any available updates.
As a work around, try playing the game on a wired-network and see if there are no issues there.
