I open the game, and I get an instant crash. I've tried deleting the games folder, still no luck. (my settings say Minecraft PE is version 0.14.99.0? EDIT: Looks like that was fixed.)
Not the same as https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-14560
Is reproducible by: Opening the app.

That is not the same bug. His game crashes upon opening a world. I crash when opening the app, and it never worked. His game worked for a few minutes, not mine.

Sorry, I should have explained more. Then this mistake wouldent have been made. ☺

Nope, xoom used to also have the same but, these are not the same. I also have a fix to that bug. Go to the play store and get mcpe master, then open it and say launch game. The game will load. Then go to settings and turn off fancy graphics. Bug fixed.

I hope this works.... I'm going to try for both devices with that technique, but fir which one does the fix work? Also I'm supposed to be on the official release or builds?

Ugh! My old ticket was closed ;-; Am I just supposed not to do anything? I waited for the full release of 0.15 and tried it, nothing. This needs to be fixed. On my "jellybean" samsung tab 3, it shows an infinite black screen. On my "kitkat" tab 3, it crashs on opening. BTW, I tried your fix on both devices, using the full release along with the beta builds, still nothing!

Does this affect 0.15.0?

Yeah, pretty sure he replied to me when the official release was out.

Yes

THIS IS NOT RESOLVED! IT STILL HAPPENS! WHY DOES IT SAY RESOLVED?! I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE BLACKSCREEN BUG, NOT THE INSTANT CRASH BUG! I literally had to downgrade to 0.14.3 so I could play MC, yes it affects 0.15.0 that's why I put that in the affected versions list!

Sorry for flipping out

It isn't resolved. I resolved it earlier as Awaiting Response, and when you commented @unknown reopened this ticket.

I also have the same problem with MCPE on my Motorola. Xoom not rooted.
I have not been able to play since 0.15. As soon as you load the game I get a black screen then crash.... Instant home screen. There are no error messages. I tried resetting my tablet but it does the same thing. I have an Asus TF101 with the exact same version of Android and it runs just fine. Both running Android 4.1.2.
