Zombie villagers taking profession from non-existing work station

I'm curing zombie villagers from a zombie spawner. When they a cured they take a job from a work station that doesn't exist within the rendered world. I have a compost bin down and a loom for the villagers to choose from but they 2 I've cured chose to be tool Smith and librarian. There is no lectern or tool station placed anywhere that has been loaded and I've broken every station within 1500 blocks of my villagers but they won't link. I've also tried setting down lectern and tool station but they won't link to them either and they won't change. I've tried leaving the area, logging out and nothing works.

(Yes, I know a similar bug was reported but it's marked as fixed when this is a new issue I've never had before doing this so it's obviously not resolved or it has returned)
