Since the recent update to Minecraft I have been unable to join any of my friends, the same problem appears with them as well in that they cannot join me either. However, online servers work perfectly fine and we are able to play there, but joining each other's worlds is impossible at the moment. Please look into this as it has been bothering me for quite some time.
keep up the good work,

What happens exactly when trying to join each other's worlds?

What happens exactly when trying to join each other's worlds?

Firstly, I see the option to join their world and join. Secondly, a few seconds pass with the loading screen, (it appears as if everything is going accordingly) but then the entire screen fades to dirt with the the following words displayed: βUnable to connect to worldβ in which case the only option is to cancel and try again, only to yield the same results. I have checked my wi-fi on multiple occasions, (as others have suggested) only to find that it is working properly. My friend has done the same.
thank you for your help, and please respond soon,

Happy to report that the problem has been solved. As it turns out, the local networking located in the settings app had been turned off as of a recent update to IOS. Upon returning the local network to its original βonβ state the matter was resolved with little extra fuss.
