Since I updated my current Minecraft world to include the new Caves & Cliffs 2 update, my world has been experiencing major lag issues. The backup I created when I updated doesn't let me open it because whenever I try it just brings up a box telling me to update it, and asking me if I want to create another backup file. I tried changing video settings and uninstalling and reinstalling, all to no avail.

Also having this issue on 1.18. Playing on Nintendo Switch. My world is approx. 380mb as it is a world I have been working on for some time now. Game is almost unplayable in this world. When mining, the blocks break and then reappear. Rendering is very slow. Lag is very bad. Started a new world and everything seems to work just fine. Is my old world getting too big or is it a known issue with certain worlds that were updated to 1.18?
