Worlds unable to load past 'loading terrain'

Some of my worlds and most commonly on one of my friend's Bedrock realms keep getting stuck at the 'loading terrain' right before the world loads in. When Bedrock is tabbed out of (or minimized) the realms will stop loading altogether and will kick me out into the loading screen. Sometimes after ~15 min of waiting the game will let me through but most the time it times out. Usually, when let through, the problem will stop and I can easily leave and come back for a small amount of time before the issue occurs again. There is almost never anyone on the realms and it runs smooth as butter most of the time.
