I've been playing in a fresh world for several days now and I've begun to notice that the typical ambient music is never playing. Very occasionally I get a brief cave sound, but otherwise it's absolute silence.

I typically have Music and Ambient and Master all at 100 and the others around 50%. Last night I learned something about the issue.
Typically, when I'm finished playing for the night, I will save and quit and then just shut off my TV which puts the PS5 into sleep mode (or stand by, whatever their wording is). Rarely do I ever shut off the PS5 or even close Minecraft. This is the situation that seems to have resulted in the music stopping (it wasn't present even in the title screen of the game). I decided to do the standard IT fix of close and restart Minecraft and (surprise!) the music worked again.
Anyways, the next time I play I will see if the music is once again gone after having gone to the PS5 sleep mode and can comment again.
