Custom Marketplace Skins do not work (With Datapacks)

Custom skins, specifically those made from different purchased parts, do not display in game, instead appearing as Steve/Alex. I am unable to even create them, due to the skins not changing when I attempt to alter part of its appearance (i.e. changing eye colour/clothing).

All players on my realm are experiencing this issue if they use that kind of skin. This includes Switch, Mobile. Windows 10, and Console (I believe xbox?)

Imported custom skins that are handmade work, as do full premade marketplace skins from packs.

Allow only trusted skins is always turned off for us.

ETA: This may only occur with resource packs in use - I can edit the skins outside of the game. I'd still like this fixed if possible though, because the datapacks in use aren't particularly uncommon utility packs.

Are there any resource packs enabled in the Realm or in Settings > Global Resources? If so, try disabling them. Some resource packs cause character creator skins to appear as Steve if they make changes to the player.entity.json file.

That could explain it... But the packs we use shouldn't change any visuals of the skin, so it's odd. Do you know why that issue is there/how I could fix it without removing the packs? I'm happy to look into editing the files of the packs if it can fix issues we've had.

what packs are we talking about here? just some texture pack that changes how flowers look or something like changing or adding animations to the player?

@unknown: If your resource packs don't need the player.entity file, then you can delete it. This should make the skins appear correctly. You can find the file in the entity folder.

We're tracking character creator skins appearing as Steve when making any change to the player.entity file at MCPE-74493, so I'll resolve this ticket as a duplicate if deleting the file works for you.

Unfortunately I can't afford to remove them - I already have a conflict between two I need to install that conflict with each other I'm working on resolving - but you're welcome to resolve this as duplicate anyway since I can safely assume that would be the issue.
