[MCPE-152729] Lag bug - Selecting an item on the new character creator screen endlessly tries to load

When you select an item on the new gui, it just tries loading, but it never seems to work. While it happens, you can't exit or go to another tab. The only way to exit is to restart the game.

I tested this only on Switch, so I don't know about other platforms.
