So, the minecraft marketplace hasn't been loading properly since the Nether update, and it's just been doing the continuous loading, i tried waiting it out but to no luck. Is this a common problem after the update? Because it was working perfectly beforehand.
Ps. It updated to 1.16.1 and the marketplace still won't work properly, only a few things loaded in.
Update, it's been 26 days and there's no luck with the pictures loading in, it still isn't working properly.

I have this same problem too on my Switch. No images are showing up, sometimes no items at all

I managed to find a fix. Simply delete the software, then reinstall it. If you have your save data saved to the cloud, you shouldn't worry about losing your data. (Of course, this needs a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.) This worked for me!

This should not be a problem as long as you wait for the customs skins to load. As soon as your skin loads, then that means that the marketplace has loaded as well. It takes a little while for this to happen.

I'm still having the same problem, it's been months and I can't get the marketplace to open. I've sat with my switch open for about two hours just letting it refresh, closing out the game, uninstalling it, nothing seems to work. It doesn't work for me on pocket edition either, and my internet isn't the problem

If you delete and reinstall the game, will all of the worlds automatically come back or will they be lost?

Is this still a problem as we have purchased from marketplace and wont download due to space? The map is 90mb and we have 8.5gb spare.

Ok so i got a fix. Go to the system settings on the switch and click on manage software and select minecraft. There you can redownload the updates for the game. After redownloading the marketplace, skins, servers load up reay quick. I hope this helped

I can do the Archive software or redownload software and the marketplace will work for a little while and then stop working again. I don't want to keep reinstalling just to use the marketplace. My custom characters have trouble loading too. Often we just have to use a default skin.

For the redownloading updates fix you mentioned, it won't affect or get rid of any worlds right?

Seems like this has been an issue for a long time.i haven't been able to use the marketplace since i bought the game and i keep being Nintendo news app updates about the "cool new updates available on the marketplace... do you want this game to fail? Like how is this still an issue?

@Mikhail Ireland Regarding what I did, it did keep my world's, as long as you only delete the software and NOT the save data. If you have Nintendo Switch Online, than if you do accidentally deleted the save data, I believe you can recover the data via the cloud.

I can't access the Marketplace on Nintendo Switch. I get a message about being unable to connect and to check my internet connection. I am able to connect to other online services with my Switch (playing Rocket League online, the eShop, etc.) but cannot connect to Minecraft's Marketplace.
The game does indicate that my Microsoft account is connected so I'm pretty sure it verified something online when Minecraft loaded. Just the Marketplace is not connecting. (This is on Switch v. 11.01 / Minecraft v. 1.16.201).

when I first started using Minecraft I could access the Marketplace and customer my skin with various templates.
Recently this has stopped, and I am unable to access the Marketplace at all. 95% of the customisable options for skins ave gone from the game also.
When trying to log into the Marketplace I just get the loading symbol on my screen

i have this issue also my daughter plays it on her switch and tells me that as well as marketplace not loading 40 coins that were there, servers saying there coming soon and character creator goes back to default every time game is loaded up

Recently started getting this issue on Xbox One and Windows 10 too, I'm entirely unable to load my skins or any marketplace content, a full reinstall of the game on either platform did nothing to resolve it.

The problem has only slightly improved for me. I am still unable to actually look at anything much in the market without it crashing and it takes a few tries to load. uninstalling and reinstalling seems to have helped a little bit and I am able to look at a few things before it freezes/crashes the game. I'm sure it's not my texture pack I'm using as I tested it before and it acted the same even without the texture pack. This only happens on my Nintendo switch lite. it loads ok on my tablet and PC.
update: problem seems to have somewhat fixed itself after reinstalling and a few redownloads after checking for corrupted data. sometimes it works sometimes not. it seems to freeze/crash still after a few minutes though when it doesn't load.

Reinstalling the game provides only a temporary reset for the Marketplace. After a few days UI elements stop loading until eventually the Marketplace is basically unusable.

Hi, I’ve been having the same issue with my Nintendo switch. I’m really upset because not only is Marketplace not loading in (despite me deleting and redownloading the game, trying to fix the internet connection that is otherwise completely fine, and everything else I can think of) but the realms don’t work either. I want to play with my friends on their realm again! I’m so confused because there was nothing I did to cause this to suddenly stop working, and my friend also ran into this same issue with their accounts. They had to play on their brother’s account which shouldn’t have had to of happened in the first place :/

This is also happening to me. By the way I got Account Error -9 today. It was supposedly removed but it is still there. Reopen the account error -9 bug feed please. I can send photo evidence. And please put more effort into fixing this bug. It is affecting many people and has been for over a year.

Hi Mojang, I added MCPE-123617 a week ago detailing similar problems with Marketplace not working. It was closed as a duplicate of this issue but I have put on there details of some information which may be relevant that I have not seen in the above comments of this issue. Hey, just adding something that I've noticed fixed my copy (mostly anyway).
I was having no luck logging into minecraft marketplace for months. I couldn't access a brought mash-up pack either.
Due to catching up on missed events in AC:NH, the time on my switch wasn't synced up to the internet. After noticing this, I synced the time to the internet.
The next day, my marketplace suddenly started working again.
I still can't actually log in with my microsoft account, I keep getting errors like creeper, -9 and crossbow... It's possible that redownloading might fix that. I dunno, I'm using a physical copy...
But I can finally access the marketplace, make purchases and downloads. It still goes a bit dodgy if I try to view it too quickly, before it has a chance to load... But I've regained access to the mash-up pack and everything.

does the same on my switch, just adding as another user that wants this fixed. i cannot access marketplace at all just have those little bars everywhere. i have two switches, one has the physical game one has a digital they both do the same thing with any of 5 different users. Using wireless one switch is two years old one switch is 1 month old all firmware updated, latest version as of this writing is 1.16.221. Loads on my mobile no issues comes right up....

As of 1.17.0, 1.17.1, and 1.17.2, this issue still persists. I can also confirm that the bug also affects the Servers Tab, and the Character Creator. However instead of infinite loading bars, these pictures only appear black. Here are screenshots attached for a better description.

Dude this is my exact problem I reported a bug about the server images not even there but i completely forgot about nothing ever loading I guess I'm just so used to nothing ever loading that i forgot it's a problem

Also having this same issue with the marketplace and it started right as i downloaded the new update...

@Josie This issue has been up for quite some time now, and I wanted to check up with you. Did reinstalling the software work for you? Regarding myself, my "fix" managed to work, and I had no problems loading assets whatsoever, even in the current version of Minecraft. Having to reinstall Minecraft is definitely not ideal, but you should be able to keep your save data if you have an Online membership. I can't guarantee this if you don't have the membership, though.

As for the Marketplace Summer Celebration, the animated banner does indeed load while other pictures still infinitely load. This means that a fix for this issue is plausible. However we do need more votes to get this fixed. Try to get others to vote for this issue too.

I’m on the Switch and I have had this issue even before the Nether update, but since the Nether update, the individual item icons and sometimes banners will not load… at all.
To see what the item is, I have to try it on which is a major pain.
This has completely disincentived me from buying anything.

My main problem at this point is in the marketplace it loads but takes multiple attempts for me to be able to see all the new content. I only see about 50-75% of the stuff meaning I have to load and reload several times to see all the new content (sometimes it loads everything but it takes several tries). This has been going on since the nether update but it got real bad with this latest update. I'm also on Nintendo Switch.

1.17.11 still has this issue, cmon Mojang, please fix this!

The pictures are loading for me again yet I still can't see all the new skin packs or worlds. I only get to see maybe 50-75% of it depending on my wifi that day and sometimes it will load everything but it takes multiple tries to do so. Then even if I manage to finally see everything it loads very slowly.

Switch firmware on latest version as of 9-21-2021. Updated minecraft to new version 1.17.30. can see only the new circles no content on the marketplace

I can see the marketplace content and I can see pictures. I still have the problem of being unable to see all the new content. Load times are still slow too.

As of 1.17.32, this still happens, at first it's loading some parts like the skin slection, the marketplace home loads only some images of an item. In the "My Content Section", it's stars with "We're having trouble connecting to the Marketplace right now. Please try again later!". I restart the game and then the whole marketplace show the message mentioned before.

Finally been able to log in for literally the first time in months. Took multiple attempts, clearing the log-in data and five minutes of staring at the loading bar...
Kinda annoyed though that the achievements I earned during the entire time that I was unable to log-in haven't been applied. You'd think that there'd be some sort of checks in place to see if you have the requirements and auto-apply them once you get back in, but nope.
So just a heads up: Don't try too hard for them; they won't work until it allows you to log in.

As of the 17.34 update, my online features are still completely busted.

This issue is still around, none of the switches I have are able to connect to the marketplace, which means that we're paying for Realms without being able to access content

Having same issue, even did factory reset. Worked until I closed Minecraft and tried again....then back to same issues as mentioned above. My kid has a lot of his own money in vested in this game. It's unfortunate he is unable to use any of the content he's purchased.

EDIT*** ( IVE JUST MANAGED TO FIX IT. Took out my gamecard.. deleted the software and then reinstalled and the categorys names are back and everythings loding and working fast! Hope this helps everyone else with marketplace issues on switch! Mine has done this since i got the game few months ago! The tabs on the left when creating characters and designing their outfits or realm plus skins.. have ‘editorial.tool.localize…’ as their category names… no skins load in to equip.. constantly having to sign into my microsoft account.. some marketplace features never load in at all. Pointless paying for my realm plus subscription tbh! And when i submitted a ticket about the LACK of free trial for switch users they just said its not available for us’. Doesnt seem to be getting foxed anytime soon by the looks of issues online past year or two :/.

Following #Mark Ashworth’s technique did actually work. But some marketplace issues still need some work such as the Loading screen, etc.

The same happened to me. I ended up fixing it by redowloading it in the settings of the nintendo switch.

I reinstalled and the buttons displayed correctly, but connection still errors. Tech support from Minecraft said to log out of all instances of the game and log back in. Did that and all downloaded purchases disappeared. Now nothing is able to download that was purchased do to the connection issue. Latest reply from Minecraft tech support informs me they only support Java Edition and Realms. I will contact Nintendo again Monday and just get my money back. Maybe this is not a “bug” in the software as much as it is a infrastructure issue, but either way seeing how far back this issue goes with no resolution, it’s obvious they don’t care.

As of v 1.18.11 on Nintendo Switch this issue is still present. The UI for the Marketplace, while under the Character Customization and Dressing Room screens; items aren't loading and items are not selectable.
Item previews do not load and cannot be selected while editing a User's skin.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the game from the console to the newest updated version, and being signed into a Microsoft account still does not solve this issue.
In the attached images, it shows "editorialtool.localization" as the title name for everything in this menu.

As of 1.18.30, I found that this also relates to MCPE-154120 as it seems to have a online related issue on switch where you can't open up the marketplace and that the character creator has grayed out buttons.

If you still can't change skins after 1.18.30 all you need to do is delete the software and reinstall it then after it's done downloading again sign out of your Microsoft account and sign back in and it should work.

After the bug fixes now none of the marketplace features work at all it made it worse on the switch

I can't access the Marketplace on Nintendo Switch either. Uninstalling and logging out then reinstalling and logging in did not fix the issue. 1.18.31 version. Cannot access emotes or anything else on the Marketplace.

Yeah, I have the same thing with the pictures not loading but Ive had it ever since I got my switch (which was like 2 years ago).

I had this problem in 1.16 which seemed to have been patched. However, in 1.19.11 it is back and much worse. The only way I can get the marketplace and dressing room to load is to completely delete and reload the Minecraft program. Then it only works for the first play session after reload. Somehow it does connect to my Microsoft account, but no further. I have no connection issues and my broad band is more than ample.

Also noticed glitches when placing blocks in water whilst on realms server.

It seems to be an off and on bug. Half the time everything works the next time it breaks again.

This bug has happened to me, but I can still access servers, multiplayer games, and achievements.

Even worse now with update 1.19.20. I cannot load my characters or my marketplace texture. I get that little red exclamation mark everything else is an unloaded window. The main screen says Invalid session. I have deleted everything, reinstalled, removed account, updated switch, complete factory reset, bought a second switch (kiddos wanted it anyways) same account same problem. nothing I can do resolves this bug. Hopefully someone reads these comments "i cannot play the game i paid for"...what a joke.

I’m having same issue……thought they had fixed it when update 1.19.21 came as it seems to be working again but tried tonight to go on and it’s happening again

this post is about few probles that dont have anything in common, one problem described here is problem that could be solved by redownloading the game, same problem is happening to me once in a while and redownloading is fixing it, but my problem as was marked as duplicate is not the same, it wont even load ANY skin and I could not open marketplace, thanks...

Now running into issue of saying "invalid session (try restarting your game)" restart count currently at 6 times. Have uninstalled and reinstalled works 3 times then same issue happens, if game crashes causing to "reset world resources" on system it works 1-3 times b4 issues happens agen.
Side note; can't load charter skins (stuck with loading circle), market place "invalid session, try restarting your game", With realms it says "you need to authenticate your Microsoft services" if it loads on home screen ⅛ of the time, rest of time it says unable to connect to realms.

I, along with many others, experience this issue along with the one I've linked below. I suggest tracking both. But do check back frequently, as mods may edit or delete your comment if it is negative.
We believe this issue is fixed in the 1.19.30 update - however, you may need to do the following in order to resolve it:
Navigate to Minecraft > Settings > Storage
Press the Clear Marketplace Cache button at the top
Exit Minecraft and restart your device

I'm only one person, but it does not look like this issue has been resolved. I've cleared my marketplace cashe, restarted the game, and restarted my console. I've done all of those steps several times. I'm on version 1.19.30, playing on OLED Switch, and my switch is fully up to date.
My game has also been crashing a lot more since the update.

@onionleonion I had the same issue the marketplace would not work for me. Do you have a SD card in your switch? For me I tried moving the game off the card and that did not work. I removed the card and moved all my games to the console memory, Turned the switch off and back up by holding the power button until I had the option. Turning back on resolved the problem and a few others reported for the switch, it's been working great since I did this. When the game gets boring I will put my card back in and move on, I hope this helps and I know it's not ideal but worth a shot...good luck fellow crafter

Still not fixed for me! Original problem (1 account can access marketplace and 2 can't) still persists nearly 2.5 years after I raised a separate issue (which was closed as duplicate of what has become this issue)
Clearing Marketplace Cache on problem account made no difference.
Problem still shows red exclamation mark with "There is an error with your account ....."

Could we please have this issue opened again, mods?

I'm currently having this issue as of 2 weeks ago, I've cleared catch, both the app and the marketplace catch and then restarted my device and it has not fixed it, I don't want to uninstall the app, and re-download it, due to I have a world that I've played on since I've started my mc days
