This issue is no longer affecting me. Even when it was, it wasn't every time I played. Please close and disregard.
The marketplace translation file(s) cache expires, so the translation library falls back to showing the translation key. The only "workaround" I know of is to uninstall the game and re-install it. Doing this downloads fresh translation files, which works fine until they expire again. This has been an outstanding issue for at least six months! Cache expiration is fine, but why on earth can't the translation files be downloaded again?! I've noticed other issues that seem to be caused by cache expiration too (gamertag profile images stop displaying after a while). Please Mojang, fix the cache or at least disable it! Having to uninstall/reinstall the game just to download translation files is beyond infuriating!
Reinstalling the game provides only a temporary reset for the Marketplace. After a few days UI elements stop loading until eventually the Marketplace is basically unusable.
Same. It charged me minecoins for day 29 and 30.
To clarify I've noticed this issue when entering any interface, not just the chest. Sometimes the game "catches up", maybe the first several times. However eventually the game always gets stuck opening the interface, and my only recourse is to force-quite and restart.
Also noticed this happening after just playing around my base for a while (maybe about two hours?). At some point I noticed broken blocks (dirt, lower wooden slabs) dropped when broken but still rendered.
Deleting game software and re-installing seems to work around the issue. Why must I do this periodically?
I had the same issue with 1.16.101. I'm not sure about 1.16.100 as I didn't have the farm then.
I launched the game today, and it started very quickly! I'm still on 1.16.101. It took a long time last night, so I guess the fix was on the server side. Anyway this issue should be closed as the problem appears to be addressed. Thank you!
It can also take a while (~1:30) to go from the Main Menu to the Realms/Worlds listing.
That's not a fix; that's a work-around. A fix would mean the issue stops happening for everyone.
