When driving a boat with Crosshair controls you cannot break or place blocks as the driver

While using the new Crosshair controls on iOS if you enter a boat the place and break buttons are removed so you cannot place or break or attack while in a boat (the red circles in the two photos)

Is this still an issue in the latest version? If yes, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter)?
