i did /give @p stick 1 0{"can_destroy":{"blocks":["[dirt"]}} it says component can destroy cant be updated https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5w2hrwIogY

You have the syntax wrong (nesting error, should be ["dirt"] instead of "[dirt"]). When I corrected this error I got a stick that could break dirt.
