I am in a bedrock world with experimental wild update features enabled. I've been tooling around in peaceful getting my base set up and noted an odd behavior in my bees. I have my hives set up over flowing water for easy collection. Under each nest and under the water, I have a trapdoor covering a campfire. The smoke clearly rises and pools under the nests. I noted that when I sneered a nest to get honeycomb, even at night the bees would immediately emerge, buzz around then return home. So I made a copy of the world and switched to hard mode, and when in to manually sheer a nest. The bees emerged and attacked. Bees should not attack when sneered for honeycomb in the first place, and definitely not with smoke beneath their nest to calm them. Attached is a photo of the setup, the nest not yet hooked up to a dispenser where bees attacked upon being manually cheered for honeycomb
