Since the 4/19/22 update to Minecraft on Switch, the minor lag as now become game freezes. They occur so frequently, every 5 min. or less on average, that the game has become unplayable. When you can play, you canβt do anything other than mundane tasks or you risk losing your progress. Villagers have been decimated because the freeze lasted for over 5 min. and it became dark. I got caught in a lake and nearly drowned before it unfroze. Playing the game is impossible at this point. You canβt risk caving, going to the nether, or adventuring for fear of being killed during a freeze. I have found that the only way around it is to close the game out. Iβve tried changing rendering distance to 6, same issue, then to 4, same issue. This update has other issues but apparently I can only do one at a time. In my opinion, the update IS the bug and all issues should be considered as none of them happened prior to the update, except minor irritating lag. AGAIN, this only happened after the 4/19/22 update to Minecraft on the Switch.
