The game boots up just fine. As it tries to load up the main menu, it crashes. I see a red screen and then it closes. I get all the way up to the background image of the menu screen and no further beyond. I have no problems before that.
I have tried updating the game to the most recent version, updating my graphics card drivers, and even reinstalling the game. I'm unsure what to do at this point but for the moment I just can't play minecraft.
