No deep dark in maps made before 1.19

There are no new biomes or features even on newly generated chunks?

No there aren't new chunks and biomes

Old chunks don't usually update with new biomes, if they did it could potentially nerf user builds. The only exception I'm aware of is lush caves since previously there was nothing below y=0.

To get new chunks you have to travel to them. Once you enter chunks you've never been in before it will generate using the new algorithm with new biomes, structures, etc.

My friend tried to find a deep dark in my world, he went nearly 5000 blocks from spawn and still no deep dark

As requested earlier, could you attach an example map to your report?

It is really impossible to show it. Cause it's every map that has been made before 1.19. So it's like any old map
