GUI scale modifier no longer available on Nintendo Switch while docked.

For some reason since I’ve updated to 1.19.1, the GUI Scale Modifier option is no longer listed under Video settings when my switch is in docked mode. However if I undock it and use handheld mode, the GUI scale modifier option appears and I can adjust it like normal. This is annoying because when I play on the TV it’s now always set at -1 GUI scale. I always sit decently far away from the TV so it makes things hard to see.

I have no idea why this is gone and it appearing only in handheld mode makes me think this is intentional which is dumb because having a bigger UI can help people with seeing issues and prevent eye strain so if this is indeed intentional, you’re literally removing an accessibility feature. I would just like this to be fixed so I can comfortably play again

Oh it’s back now? I didn’t update my game but it’s back now. Weird. I’ll delete this if I can

Edit: idk how to delete bug reports

No I don’t think the scale modifier is back, I don’t have it and the tiny UI feels weird

I have the same problem on 1.19.2

why do they still don't fix this....

@zoelyt I had a similar issue with the GUI going off the screen in a different game. I'm not sure if this'll work for you like it did for me, but here's a potential quick fix that only takes a minute. If you go to the switch's home screen, enter system settings, scroll to TV resolution, and find the adjust screen size option, if you drop that down a few % it might fix part of the issue.

Still experiencing this bug as of 1.19.51. My partner has sight issues and it is hard for them to see the gui properly because it's so small. The GUI slider is grayed out and can't be accessed when the switch is docked. This problem makes the game very hard to play for anyone with any sort of sight problems. It is a major lack of accessability that is really frustrating and should be fixed as soon as possible.

Hello, just found this and I'm grateful other people have acknowledged this. Running the most current edition, on a Switch, docked in split-screen is nigh-unplayable despite a 40" screen, because the GUI is so damn tiny. Just like other people have said, the GUI scale slider is there but greyed out, and trying to select it gives the 'you need a specific device to use this feature' error message.

I've only just realized I had a Jira account, but I have been following this bug since it's inception. It's very disappointing that such a failure of accessibility seems to be so heavily ignored. I have effectively stopped playing Minecraft because of this problem. My screen's resolution is 1366x768. I could change the setting before. Why remove a feature that was already functioning? Perhaps there is a reason, but still, super disheartening. I expect more from this game and its developers, especially when accessibility is supposed to be a point of focus.

Edit: Just adding that 1.19.70 is still effected by this. I thought that maybe it would have been resolved, I came here to say it's not.

It is still a problem for me on version 1.20.12😞
