Put a jungle slab on water (using as a dock) Tried to put a crafting table on the slab and the crafting table floats

The slab counts as a full block. It will float above the slab if it's on the bottom half of the space it occupies. If the slab is on the upper half of the block and is water logged however, it shouldn't float at all.
Did you place the jungle slab as "top" or "bottom" slab? If you placed it as a bottom slab, then any block placed on top of the slab will have a half-block gap below it.

I don't find this as a bug though. Plus, we don't have that logic where it would suddenly connect with slabs with other blocks. If you were to play something modded in a different way than vanilla minecraft. Then this bug report argument would be false.
