When I placed a banner behind a cake with a candle on it, the banner visually seems to overlap with the cake. It does not happen with normal cake (w/o candles) as seen in the screenshot provided. Also, I have not checked if it happens with item frames. Overall this has not affected my gameplay and I still LOVE indulging in Minecraft.
