This affects all minecraft betas, but I'm not sure whether it is a bug or not.
Both crimson and warped "leaves" do not despawn naturally after chopping all the "wood" out of their tree, like they would on normal overworld trees. Maybe it's a feature? Alright but it's super annoying anyway, cause you have to manually destroy a ton of ugly floating blocks everytime you need a little bit of nether "wood".
Have you ever tried to farm nether wood? It takes hours just because of this, and futhermore these "leaves" are tough to break too, unless you have an efficiency V hoe.
It's an annoying time consuming process and I know that everybody hates this feature, so why don't you guys just make the leaves despawn in first place?
The same goes for creeper's holes, everybody hates to rebuild their houses or to refill the holes.
Wouldn't the game be better if their explosions destroyed less blocks, but dealt the same amount of damage?
Yes it would, things like these don't make the game better, they just annoy players.

These are not leaves, but wart. Wart despawn is a feature request.
