Loading an RTX resource pack crashes the game

Description/Steps to Reproduce:

Upon loading an RTX resource pack into global resources, quitting a world that was RTX enabled, or joining a world that is RTX enabled there's a high chance that it will crash the game, with the same faulting Nvidia driver module every time. These crashes started to occur years ago and are widespread accross many users of Ray Tracing. Performing a clean driver installation with DDU does not prevent this issue from occurring.

I sometimes get this crash when loading the game.   It gets to around 65% then the screen flashes red for a second and it quits back to the desktop.   The same windows log is generated.

The next time I try to start the game it will load, but it will tell me that my "global resources have been reset" however they are still set to active in the global resources menu, but will become inactive the next time I load the game if I don't deactivate and reactivate them.

The simplest solution is to uninstall the game and never play it again.

Resolving temporarily as Awaiting Response. Could you please add some examples of RTX resource packs that can be used to reproduce the issue?

I've attached my RTX resource pack to the report. This occurs with multiple other packs that I don't typically use regularly as well, according to the many accounts from the community I've witnessed.

This has been happening for me as well, pretty seriously. After using RTX packs, trying to load Minecraft the next day it will present a black screen (sometimes after the Mojang logo, sometimes that doesn't show up), and then the entire computer will freeze. I can move the mouse, but can't click on anything. Only solution then is to hard reset the computer (bad).

I tried turning off RTX in options.txt before loading, and deleting all RTX packs before loading. Neither solved the problem, still completely freezes the computer. Only completely uninstalling Minecraft and reinstalling solves it, and only if I don't do anything at all with RTX from then on.

Regrettably, I am experiencing what may be a similar issue pertaining to loading RTX packs.

For me, the pack I am using is the boilerplate pack that is provided by NVIDIA for developers creating RTX packs. This pack has been attached to this issue as

for easy download and inspection.

I do not know where I can find any further details to the crashes I am experiencing. Please let me know if/how this error can be explored in further detail.

I have consistently had this issue for RTX as well.  It has gotten worse lately and been going on for at least a year now.  Game crashes at startup multiple times, then resets all global resources and then starts.

After loading RTX resource pack the game has large percentage chance of crashing.  Takes multiple starts to get texture loaded correctly.

This is true regardless of using texture globally or in a world specific manner.

PLEASE address this issue.  It has been going on a long time.

Tyring out Minecraft RTX on 3090 FTW3. Crashes Everytime.

We are hoping that this issue is resolved in the 1.19.70.x version - if you have access to the Minecraft Preview version and would like to confirm whether it is fixed there or not it would be greatly appreciated.

You can find out more about the Preview here: https://aka.ms/PreviewFAQ

The issue seems to be fixed for me with the latest 1.19.70.20 Preview update.

Specs: RTX 3070 with 528.24 driver

I have not experienced this issue post 1.19.70 previews. Fix seems to have also worked on my end.
