Auto jump doesn't work in deep water

the autojump in deep water does not work the character sinks instead of jumping to stay afloat

There is a video attached to this big that shows the issue, as well as videos attached to bugs that have been closed as duplicates of this issue.

 

As you can see in the video, moving forward in water without pressing the "up" button causes you to sink. The expected behavior (and the old behavior) was for you to remain at the surface of the water as long as you kept moving forward.

 

The old behavior is essential for touchscreen users, who can no longer move, steer, and stay at the top of a body of water all at once without growing a third thumb. This means that touchscreen users can no longer easily cross small bodies of water.

It is impoosible to cross a river. And it is necessary because you can't use always a boat.
