You are right, I use an enchanted armor:
Breastplate
Trousers
But only the breastplate has that effect, my trousers look normal like in the picture.
My avatar looks normal when I take it off my jacket/avatar looks ok.

I have now Bedrock Version 1.21.0 and the issue is not solved, I still fall through the bottom of the boat.
If there is no block under the boat and deep water or cave I die.
It does not work. I need three hands/thumbs to control my avatar when I play with a tablet when I want to cross water/a river.
It is impoosible to cross a river. And it is necessary because you can't use always a boat.
And the boot has also a problem:jumping out of the boot let's you jump through the boot in the water.
And the bevavior is not realistic: in real life I stay at the surface when I swim and sink when I stand still.
The driver jumps over the boat tail in the water instead over the bow to the coast.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7. Attached you can find the screenshot when I am sitting in the boat. Before I entered the boat I selected the 2nd inventory position (the empty one).
In the boat I tried to select the map at 1st position, that does not work. It is also not possible to take anything else from inventory. The hand on the right side stays empty.
