Custom jukebox music stops unexpectedly if it's longer than the original track

Platform: Any
I was only able to test it on Xbox & Android since I do not own this game on PC. But I assume this affects all platforms & has been an issue for a long time.

If you add your own music, it suddenly stops, only affects the jukebox. If it's played as background music, it would play until the end. This happens both in multiplayer mode and in single player mode.

I changed the category for all records to "music", even if I didn't do this, the same thing would happen.

Direct link, .mcpack (with subpacks)
Download the pack here (Mediafire)

Video of this bug (YouTube, uncut)
The first pack option should be selected in order to replicate.

This is just an example & is meaningless:
The same track, but it plays as background music (YouTube, uncut)

Music Credits:
Elektronomia

Elektronomia - The Other Side
The music is free to use, but credits should still be given.

Mojang fix this bc i play custom music all the time and im not getting the full effect of it

Edit the resource pack and change the music filename to "blocks.ogg". Since Blocks is the longest disc, this might fix it.

I know, but this bug ruins all resource packs of this type. Thank you for your comment, but unfortunately this is not a solution & ruins any freedom in terms of music. That's why I reported this bug & I hope it'll be fixed someday. :/

Example:

BetterJukebox (mcpedl)

This resource pack allows you to use your own music, but this bug is causing problems. This affects all resource packs of this type (tested).

Note:

You don't necessarily have to change the name of the file, you're able to change 13 to blocks within the sound_definitions.json file. :3

Example:

Change record.13 to record.blocks

This has been a problem since 1.19.3 my question is: Why is this taking so long to fix? And why does this problem seem to be exclusive to Bedrock?

I've made some custom music packs and I'd like them to actually work as intended. Mojang guys, c'mon it's not like we're asking for custom superflats, we just want the timer restriction on music discs removed.

this is a issue in 1.20.12 and under

happens to me on pc too

This issue still persists in 1.21.31.40, I hope this bug will be fixed sooner rather than later.

please fix this bug!!!

This issue is still present in version 1.21.71. It has been around for years, and I’m wondering if there are any plans to address it or if this behavior is intentional.
