Minecraft won't open

I updated to 15.3 on LG VK815 and now MCPE won't open - get message "Unfortunately Minecraft PE has stopped working". I have uninstalled/resinstalled several times. Have clicked bug report several times w/no response. At the very least I would like an update/response otherwise I won't my money back as this is unacceptable. My son cannot play and lost all his worlds.

Hi Kevin, Please take a look at MCPE-8332, MCPE-14125 and MCPE-15057 to see which solutions give you different results, and if you are still experiencing problems, comment on the appropriate ticket.

If you have not deleted the /sdcard/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds folder, then your son's worlds are all still there. I recommend making a backup copy of that folder.

A good starting point to debug would be to:

  1. back up that folder somewhere else

  2. uninstall MCPE (yes, I know you've done this step many times already)

  3. delete the /sdcard/com.mojang folder (note the com.mojang folder might be somewhere else depending on the folder structure of your device, you can always just search for it, there should only be one)

  4. reinstall MCPE

  5. put the device in airplane mode (no cellular, no internet)

  6. restart MCPE and see what happens.
