i have coal and sticks for the torches and it shows that u still can craft other types of torches, but not regular ones??? Also when u use the search bar torches dont even exist??? i tried to use inventory crafting, a crafting table, and even different crafting tables.

Are you using an addon or texture pack?
Could you attach a screenshot of you crafting window that does not offer torches?
