I went to download a map from the market place. After I clicked download it got stuck on a green bar. I had a look at other things I had downloaded and they were all stuck on green bars.

Please try clearing the Marketplace cache to see if that helps:
Navigate to Settings > Storage
Press the Clear Marketplace Cache button at the top
Exit Minecraft and restart your device
