On reentering the game, several chests have just not been there, but the contents were spilled out. A few times the chests were replaced by the block that was generated there before the chest was placed. There is no apparent pattern to this at all except that the chests have always been placed for a long time before it happens. It happens to large and regular chests, regardless of the contents.

Started on 0.15.6, it seems that if paintings are close enough the chances of it happening are increased. The first time it happened there were no paintings but it only happened once. Then I had two chests right next to paintings on the x and z axis that disappeared every time I returned to the world until I moved the paintings. These particular chests are also moved by sticky pistons.
I've only played single player so I don't know if the others are affected by it.
It's not a really bad bug of you notice it in time because the contents are spilled out, so I've been trying to find specific patterns to it but it is very infrequent most other scenarios. I've only seen it on my survival world as well.

Is this in single player, lan or Realms?
How old are the worlds, did this issue start with 0.15.6?
