Whenever a minecart or boat is broken, they do not drop, and instead disappear.

Do you play with cheats ON? And do you have 'Entities drop loot' option disabled or enabled?

No cheats are on, and yes entities drop loot. The world is 100% vanilla, and it appears that the boats and carts point drop when I punch them, but not when they're mined with a tool
