Villagers

The last week or so, my fiance and I have been playing on a new minecraft world on my realm. We found a village with villagers in it, destroyed the beds to confine and individually link each villager to a bed, one that is near them and confirmed to have linked. After the most recent launcher update, none of the villagers operate correctly.

I made a fairly standard diamond shaped potato farm, one that I've made in at least 7 worlds before this one. The issue started this morning with the farmer villager breaking potatoes but not picking them up and not throwing them across a hopper minecart to the confined villager...the core mechanic of the farm. After breaking all of the potatoes, collecting them myself, and the villager re-planting the potatoes that they had in their inventory, the issue seemed to be resolved. Some time later, the same farmer villager, whom I traded with to lock in their profession, decided to not only link to a different bed roughly 80 blocks away instead of the bed inside the farm they were linked to, but also change his profession to a cartographer while there are no cartography tables placed anywhere in the village.

Within an hour of finding out that this had happened, my fiance noticed that all of the beds in the village were sparkling, the icon meaning that a villager has linked to them. None of the villagers are retaining their beds or their workstations anymore, some 3 hours after having first discovered the farmer villager had somehow changed their profession to one that is completely unavailable to begin with.

Can you export and attach the world to your report, where the issue can be observed?

This should be the world, I'm never exported a world like this so fingers crossed. Most of the villagers since have been killed out of an attempt to see if it was villager density (which I don't believe is a problem, but my fiance does) so adding more beds and villagers within the village at coords -305, 107, 56 roughly. There is a potato farm down a large set of stairs that broke previously, as well as this entire village having them randomly relinking to everything.

Try to upload the exported world either in attachments here, or on any shareable site (OneDrive,Dropbox) and paste the link to it in the comments, or update your description.

The attachment from your comment does not work.

Thanks for providing the world save. I see you reporting multiple issues with villagers. Bug reports need to focus on a single, reproducible issue. The problems you had with villagers linking and relinking unexpectedly seem to be covered by MCPE-50441, MCPE-63311, and MCPE-131043. Do note that it is intended for villagers to not always choose the nearest bed and workstation, per MCPE-45270. I realize this can make villagers difficult to work with, but Mojang has said it's the intended design.

I was not able to reproduce the famers not harvesting or sharing food. The farmer near -350, 85, 60 harvested and shared with the nitwit while I watched, and I was able to get a farmer to harvest under -305, 107, 56 by giving it a bed and workstation. Without a bed and workstation it kept trying to pathfind toward the other villagers at -350, 85, 66. That is likely because it detects that it is near but outside of the closest village, since village boundaries are based on where beds, workstations, and bells have been claimed.

If you still feel that you are experiencing a distinct bug that I didn't mention, please make a new report focused on a single, reproducible issue.
