I cannot edit the world that I created in the World Menu

The editing pencil icon that lets me edit parts of the world (difficulty, video, audio, resource/behavior packs, etc.) is not working when I tap on it. I want to make a copy of the world, but cannot without manually going to files and making one. I cannot edit some of the stuff I want to in the game.
