However, this issue is Working as Intended.
The report you have submitted is working as intended: There was introduced a change to Smithing Table in upcoming 1.20 version, which can be tested on Preview when enabling Experimental Features. For more information please reffer to: https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Smithing_Table?so=search.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
