The problem is not that I cannot ride a skeleton horse with a saddle on, I can't put a saddle on it and as far as I'm aware this isn't a duplicate, because I know there's other reports of not being able to ride the horses with the saddle on.

Well than that's a bug all on its own, because skeleton horses from skeleton horse traps are rideable and at some point were saddle able.
You can ride them but they are already tame. But in beta 16.0 you cannot ride them. Its a bug. Pls reopen this so I don't have to report it for it to be a duplicate when this one reopens.
I also can no longer ride skeleton horses. I had about 15 of them in my stable,they came pre tamed,but now they have all disappeared. The only one that remains of my originals only exists because it is at least 2oo blocks from my current working location on the map. This morning 3 skeleton horses appeared in the ocean close to my base. I got them to follow me to land by holding a wheat sheaf but they no longer display a ride box. I can however leash and tether them. This all seemed to happen about a week ago after the home screen interface changed. I also cannot open minecart chests unless I crouch first. If I tap the chest without being crouched it simply wobbles till it breaks. I had a line of carts ready to transport cobblestone to a building site but after the interface change a week ago overnight I could no longer open them and ended up breaking almost all of them trying to figure it out.The one that remained I did the new crouch open procedure but all of my inventory had disappeared.
