Previously linked Villagers won’t link to job block after update

My previously linked villagers will not relink to their moved job block. This ALWAYS happens after an update. I moved my previously linked villagers. They will link to a bed (green particles) but when I put their job block down. I get nothing. It has been 24 hours and it is still not resolved. They villagers are just staring at me. Please fix. I wrote  a post like this after the last update, and it was fixed within 24 hours. This issue is still happening after every update.

I know this says duplicate. I accidentally posted this twice but it’s not resolved

I'm having this problem too. I have villagers who were linked to their job blocks and now they won't link again after I moved them and the job blocks.

Same issue I’m having. Very irritating and time consuming

Can you provide a copy of the world where this occurs?

I’m not sure how to do that since I am not the realm owner. I will ask the realm owner for a copy.

How would someone make a copy of the issue on bedrock 1.19 and paste it here?

Files larger than 10 MB can be uploaded to a file sharing site like onedrive, googedrive, mediafire, etc., and the link given in a comment here.

Based on comments there may be multiple issues causing the problems. Here are 2 known issues:

  1. There is a limit of 32 unclaimed workstations that a village can detect (MCPE-79433). This is often an issue where barrels are used for storage. For example: if your villagers happen to detect 32 barrels and you have no fishermen or unemployed villagers to take them, then your clerics and librarians will not be able to re-link to their brewing stands or lecterns if you break and replace the brewing stands or lecterns. However, the unclaimed workstations have to be re-found each time the world is loaded, so a villager who can't link in one session may link immediately in the next session because the workstations are detected in a different order.

  2. Villagers sometimes switch professions after trading (MCPE-117852). This one has no confirmed explanation yet. It seems to involve a desync, ether between client and server, or between individual villagers and the global "village manager" function that assigns workstation links. It may involve some kind of "stuck in a loop" or process priority bug in the village manager.

Plausibly, the issue your realm has with villagers not linking at all has the same underlying cause as MCPE-117852, but it would be important to rule out blockage from too many unlinked job blocks.

That makes alot of sense. Our issue may be issue number 1 that you explained because there were about 50 villagers in the trading hall at the time when we were moving them to separate areas.

We also had an issue with #2. We were converting villagers so when we broke job blocks to prep for that, 2 linked stonemasons who we traded with 1 time to lock them in became jobless, no stonemason uniform,  then linked to brewing stand and became clerics with locked level 1 trade.

I'm the realm owner and will try to transfer the backup so I can share the file.

I've been trying to upload the backup from Saturday but I'm having issues. I think it's because the game on my computer isn't updated to the latest version? And I'm having trouble updating it. Also, I can't find the save files on my computer. I can't find this path: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\

We broke the unused/ decor job blocks (barrels, grindstones, cauldrons, blast furnaces etc. the villagers are linking again! We had way more than 32 unused job blocks used for decor. Thank you for all your help! So if your villagers are not linking, break the decor job blocks.
