The loading of chunks is terrible on Nintendo switch, my phone with Minecraft PE is medium-low range and manages to load chunks faster at the same viewing distance despite a certain lag that occurs from time to time.
The main menu of the game also takes a looooong time to load, sometimes up to 2 minutes when in Minecraft PE it only takes a few seconds.
And this is not only a problem with this version, several versions ago the performance of the game on this platform is horrible since Nintendo switch can handle games hundreds of times more demanding in terms of graphic load and draw distance, my problem would not be so serious if it were not for the fact that the version of Minecraft for Nintendo switch it costs up to five times more than the mobile version or if we opt for the physical version of the game it would cost ten times more than Minecraft PE and we are talking about performance tens of times worse than a mobile device with almost the same technical specifications as a Nintendo switch.
I am attaching videos of both cases where obviously the one with the highest loading speed of chunks is my cell phone and although on nintendo switch you can only record thirty seconds of video you can clearly see that the loading time of the chunks does not allow you to explore in any way. decent way to explore, although this is not an isolated case, the vast majority of gamers have realized that Minecraft Bedrock and Java are in dire need of a performance improvement.

The problem is still present in the 1.20.12 version.
No matter which settings. No matter whether with Resource Pack or Vanilla.
Same with me, my tablet loads Minecraft bedrock within literally 2 seconds, it takes a whole 2 minutes on my more powerful computer haha.

I second this.
It's been an ongoing issue for me since 1.17. There was a point in between that & 1.18 when the load times were significantly shorter, bearable even.
Now, I have to wait 5 minutes of black screen, 2-3 minutes of the Mojang screen (noticeably stuck on 40% & 70%), then a few more minutes on whether or not the game auto signs me in properly. Oh & add another minute or 2 for the world/realm to load when joining in.
