TL;DR: Focusing on the following step 3: The new UI will now always have a lag spike when clicking on “Settings” while you’re in a world, compared to the 1 time spike in the old UI.

Long Ver.: I have a workaround that used to help make the Switch experience less troublesome, until the new settings UI was implemented a few days after the Tiny Takeover drop.

  1. Spam click “Settings” on the main menu to force login (still works/helps).

  2. Play/Load/Create/Join a world/server after your character skin appears on the screen.

  3. Immediately click “Settings” upon loading in/joining world (There used to be just 1 lag spike when doing this, & will not happen again as long as you stay in the world, making subsequent opening the settings menu much faster).

  4. Cycle through POV once [still works, & is easily apparent when using a resource pack like Actions & Stuff (the spawning animation can be seen on the player entity)].

  5. Open inventory, open & close the recipes menu, then close inventory (still works, & the same spawning animation from A&S is seen here as well).

  6. You can now begin playing the game.

Hopefully this can help reduce the chances of bugs/lag spikes occurring for those affected.

Most of the time this happens to my worlds is when I save & quit while there’s an active snowfall.

I’d also want to point out that the stonecutter can also “cut” cobblestone into stone bricks, which doesn’t make sense.

Breaking affected chests to collect the items seems to be the only workaround.

Not resolved. Still happens as of Mounts of Mayhem.

Made a similar report a while back (MCPE-172793). I’m having trouble linking this on mobile, so please do search for it if the link doesn't work.

Happens far less often with typical hostile mobs before the new mounts/riders.

Bumping this up for the upcoming Mounts of Mayhem drop, as the Door meta will render the Nautilus Jockey difficulty experience to near trivial levels.

The game treats these transparent blocks as if they're ladders/vines.

Bumping this because of the upcoming Mounts of Mayhem drop.

Not about to lose a HC world due to not being able to swim through Kelp to evade Nautilus Jockeys.

Workaround: Hold the jump button to ascend through kelp, though it’s nowhere near as fast.

I learned that there’s a change in the zombie piglins' sword tier preference.

They no longer value wood & stone as much as gold, or that since copper & stone deals the same damage, there might be a tier corruption between the 2 sword types.

They still pick up iron & diamond swords, as normally expected.

Will change the bug report summary.

Of course, do this in Hard/Hardcore.

Quite annoying if one wants to stay at a certain version of Bedrock, as console players have no way of changing versions on any whim.

Otherwise, the game will keep reminding you to update, while also taking away online access until it is done.

This also happens with many non-full blocks.

Had a single bush setup on a Mud block with a Hopper underneath in one of my hardcore worlds. No wonder the little fella doesn’t do anything.

Guess we still would need Hopper Minecarts when farming this fickle plant lol

Still an issue on Switch OLED

Not resolved. Happening on Switch.

I remember 1st encountering this around 1.18-1.19.

Redownloading the game has a small chance to resolve the problem, but the bug may appear yet again.

For me, it’s not from quitting the game, but it can happen randomly; probably from breaking & replacing job blocks to refresh trades from never-before traded fresh/new cured villagers.

Basically, a cured unemployed villager can be affected by this bug if one resets jobs too many times.

Can confirm it happens on Bedrock as well, being completely silent in all possible scenarios when BGM should be playing, until the next reboot (not 100% surefire workaround).

As of October 29, this is not fixed.
