This also happens with many non-full blocks.
Had a single bush setup on a Mud block with a Hopper underneath in one of my hardcore worlds. No wonder the little fella doesn’t do anything.
Guess we still would need Hopper Minecarts when farming this fickle plant lol
Still an issue on Switch OLED
Not resolved. Happening on Switch.
Also affects Switch, since 1.19.
I remember 1st encountering this around 1.18-1.19.
Redownloading the game has a small chance to resolve the problem, but the bug may appear yet again.
For me, it’s not from quitting the game, but it can happen randomly; probably from breaking & replacing job blocks to refresh trades from never-before traded fresh/new cured villagers.
Basically, a cured unemployed villager can be affected by this bug if one resets jobs too many times.
Can confirm it happens on Bedrock as well, being completely silent in all possible scenarios when BGM should be playing, until the next reboot (not 100% surefire workaround).
As of October 29, this is not fixed.
As many here would know, there's no file access for consoles, so these hidden map files can tank their performance.
1.21.20 Switch OLED, Game Card
Even with various workarounds prior to this update, it was close to impossible to log into both the Nintendo & Microsoft accounts without one of them disconnecting for whatever reason. Now I'm at a loss.
Previous workaround (no longer working 100%):
Upon 1st boot up, the main menu will have a message: "Signing into your Nintendo Switch account..." & also the achievements & bell inbox is missing (It will stay like this until you proceed to step 2).
Go to the friends tab, select anything that allows access to the Microsoft account sign in. The "communication error" message will appear (which kickstarts the relog process to the Nintendo account for some reason). Select sign in & return to the main menu.
Wait for the bell & achievements buttons to pop up.
Cycle through the bell, achievements, & settings menu until you see the unlocked character creation items fraction count up on the left side of the achievements menu.
Wait for your character skin to load in.
If the friends/featured realms/servers don't appear, press the HOME button twice to soft reboot the sign in process & return to step 2.
1.21.2 Switch OLED, Game Card
Noticed this bug when equipping the 15 year MCC cape.
Specified items are much lower than normal in the off-hand, while the opposite occurs on the right hand. They also appear smaller overall.
The only benefit I'm getting from this visual bug is that the shield isn't taking up 15% of the screen.
1.20.81 Switch OLED, Game Card
It's gotten to a point where it takes 10-20 min just to reach the title menu (before anyone asks, yes I redownload the game, moved it to the Switch's local storage, restarted it, on every launch to give it the best possible chance to NOT crash).
My patience is still going strong, but these days I have to plan (yes plan) my sessions hours prior. It's gotten that bad.
The game has trouble priortizing what to sign in 1st. It used to sign in to the Nintendo account 1st, but now it's trying to sign into both that & the Microsoft account simultaneously. You can check this by looking at the bottom left of the title screen ("Signing into Nintendo Account") & looking at the Realms section ("Signing in with your Microsoft Account"). Several minutes later, it would have a message saying a "server connection error has occurred."
Had to hit the HOME button to give the log in a bit of a kick, so the Achievements & Inbox icons can appear.
Lastly, I would cycle through these 2 menus alongside the Account tab in the Settings menu to see whether or not the featured servers would load in, indicating that I've synched both accounts properly.
TL;DR: This whole process just to play online has been a real chore. It really isn't something any player should think about, to be perfectly honest.
1.20.81 Switch OLED, Game Card
Bug still persists.
Another way to trigger the bug is to open the inventory within the same tick as opening any container (or any block that has a UI).
1.20.80 Switch OLED, Game Card
Breaking & replacing all POI (Beds/Job Site Blocks) only gets the iron golems to spawn for a brief moment of time, only to stop abrupty once again.
Basically, the spawning is very inconsistent.
1.20.72 Switch OLED, Game Card
Answering a 2 year, almost 4 month old comment, by a mod, with some questions:
Why does a wood based block have particles coming from it? Is it old, dusty, & made of brittle powder or something? Also, why only the 6th one branched out? Why not make all of them that way if it "has always done this"? Get outta here with that logic.
Another bug report on the matter from 1.17.
Apparently, I wasn't the 1st to experience this.
1.11 MCPE-45281 "Cannot Reproduce"
1.16 MCPE-110021 "Works as Intended"
1.16 MCPE-112028 "Fixed"
Seeing as these reports predate 1.17-1.18, this "feature" was understandably intentional when they used to spawn in light level 7 or lower.
I suppose light is no longer a viable spawn proofing method during thunderstorms.
Quite annoying if one wants to stay at a certain version of Bedrock, as console players have no way of changing versions on any whim.
Otherwise, the game will keep reminding you to update, while also taking away online access until it is done.
