every time i try to join my friends world, when it gets to the point when downloading the data needed for the addon it stays on 0.00 and then says abandoned connection closed and my friend is still on its world and i dont know what to do can someone help or fix it

Is this still an issue in the latest release? Does this only occur in a world where a specific add-on needs to be downloaded? Please attach the add-on that is causing this if it's still a valid issue. Keep in mind that this could be an issue with the configuration or set-up of the add-on itself, rather than a bug in the game or a problem with certain components.
This report is a clone of MCPE-172980 which was resolved as fixed in the 1.20.12 hotfix.
i tried reinstalling the software, checking for updates, looking at connection, my storage, and restarting my nintendo and it still didn't work please update or tell me what i need to do.
