I downloaded the latest version (1.20.12), and this issue still exists. 😞
This will be a disaster for developers since it keeps denying the correct format in the chat box.

You appear to be using an older version of Minecraft (1.20.1).
Does it work if you update to the latest release version (1.20.12)?
