I was going through a world when i found floating Lava, from the looks of things, it looks like this terrain was overriding the cave below in the nether. And forgot there was lava.

Sorry about my previous comment, I had pasted the world seed as the world name by mistake.
I can confirm the world generates with floating lava at the given coordinates.
