Broke their Lecterns to change their profession but instead they're just continue to work at bookshelfs, In another village I already noticed leveled up librarians sometimes intensely stare at bookshelfs whole day eventhough there are plenty of lecterns, it's been going on for a while now, I think it started with the 1.20 update.

Does this only happen with librarians who do not have a lectern? Librarians have a behavior to look at bookshelves, but it should be for short periods of time.

I've had this problem for months. If the villager hadn't been traded with they should lose their job when the lectern is broken. Villagers AI is messed up its been a problem for awhile.

From your screenshot I can see that you are using addons/mods. What happens if you remove them from your world?

I would like to add to this bug report. As of today, I had a perfectly functioning librarian villager on a lectern as it should function. I build a librarian house picked up it's lectern and bed and moved it over to his new home. On placing the lectern he would not connect and proceeded to visually use the bookshelf as a work station. He did produce green particles like he was linking to something but those green particles did not the attach themselves to any.other object. I have traded him out, as I want to see if he restocks. This is on the Xbox X series console I'm guessing he won't.
