Mending isn't working on my pickaxe. I have it equipped and am not wearing any mending enchanted armour or elytra. It mends to about hallways and won't go any further, I've mined heaps of coal and as it absorbs the XP the pickaxe does the little bob and the XP bubbles disappear but Im also not gaining any levels when it absorbs. I hope the video helps as I had to cut it down a lot. Thank you!

The average xp drop from coal ore is not enough to mend a pickaxe as you use it to break the coal ore, unless the pickaxe is also enchanted with unbreaking. In addition, netherite tools have a lot of durability, so you won’t necessarily see the durability bar go up every time they absorb an xp orb. Have you tried mining redstone, lapis, or diamond ore, or using another source of xp, such as villager trading?
