Opening Minecraft bedrock in Windows 10 causes audio volume to be unadjustable

Opening Minecraft bedrock causes audio in Windows as a whole including Minecraft to become none adjustable. The visual volume sliders move up and down but audio does not change. This happens with no other programs open ie just Minecraft or with other apps such as Spotify, In which case Spotify is also affected and will remain so even if I close Minecraft. Only when I then close Spotify and reopen it will it return to normal.

I have now resolved the issue myself. I have updated the sound card driver and that solved it.
