nether issues with portals duplicating/moving/not working

on Samsung s7 and Acer 7 tab. i went into the nether for the first time since the update fine. started mining some nether rock and quartz in the cave my portal spawned in. we have had this portal for a while with no issues and it's the only one we have on the private server. I went to go home and there was my original portal off. and some strange hodge podge of 4 overlapping portals that weren't there ever before or when I entered the nether. I took screen shots I will attach- the encased and unbroken one is the original(2nd screen shot uploaded) and the other that are all stuck together are the random spawned duplicates. sorry I didn't stick around to get a shot of the wrong one working. none of the portals were on and i had no way of knowing which one was right because even the original one was off. Stanger though is this sealed off cave that's well lit started spawning gahsts, pigment, and blazes. I have no idea what happened but I took my daughters tablet and sent her through with just a flinthought and steel thinking it needed to be relit. no. as soon as she came through it let us both go back BUT the active portal she came through is not the one I built and I tried to destroy them with no luck. when going back in empty handed to see if things were changed or better all the portals were there still and none of them wanted to let me go back home so I had to do the same thing all over again by starting it by sending someone else through. EDIT: I was able to get a shot of the impostor portal spawned area as my daughter was using it to activate one so I could get home I'll attach it. and a better shot of the original portal. it also appears that a new portal spawns each time you use the one back home. the impostors are all stacked upon eachother and connected but none of them to the original but they are relatively close.
